We’re shutting our doors…for one Sunday morning.

Since we are #ForSmithfield, we don’t come to church- we are the church to our community. That’s what Serve Sunday is all about. We’ll be taking this Sunday to gather at 10 AM at JCC, and then- instead of our regularly schedule Sunday experience- we will be sent out to serve in our community. We’ll be partnering with Smithfield Rescue Mission and In His Hands Pregnancy Support Center that morning.

Here’s some more details on what we’ll be doing that morning:

Smithfield Rescue Mission (Women’s Shelter)
  • Move dirt from pile to front flower beds,and/or spread out the rest around trees.
  • Power wash brick only on the house.
  • Wash outside of the clothing barn in the front.
  • Haul away pile of old wood from along side of clothing barn
In His Hands Pregnancy Support Center
  • Power wash porch and house.
  • Check the duct work under house.
  • Paint the wheelchair ramp with water seal.
  • Mow grass/yard work
  • Spring cleaning (window washing, etc.)
  • Organize clothing in shed
