I Was Pushing God Away

Before Crystal discover LifeSpring, she felt lost as a person.

"I pushed God away for many years after the death of my mother," she says. "I felt angry and wanted nothing to do with religion."

Yet at the same time, she knew Jesus was calling to her. And He would draw her in an amazing way.

Crystal first heard about LifeSpring as a teacher's assistant at South Smithfield Elementary School. She noticed that LifeSpring was doing some great things with their students and going out of the way to serve the teachers at SSES.

After seeing this, she decided to check it out for herself.

That first Sunday, Crystal responded to the Gospel. A few months later, she was baptized. And instead of pushing God away, she is drawing close to Him.

"My life now is different because I now have an open relationship with Jesus and I'm proud of this new relationship I have with him," Crystal says. "I put God first and everything else falls into place... I can honestly say I'm a proud Christian and I will always follow and trust in Jesus. "

Crystal realizes now that she can't do life alone. And she is incredibly thankful for the family she has found at LifeSpring.

"LifeSpring church is amazing," she says. "It's the first church I've called my own. The people are wonderful, the pastors are great and if you have any questions someone will always be there to help you and try to answer it."
