#SSStrong Feeds 2018
December 15, 2018 10:00 am | Smithfield Middle School
Hunger: It’s not just a struggle in other countries
Did you know that over 80% of the children in local public schools in the Smithfield, Selma, and Wilson’s Mills school district are on free or reduced lunch?
Did you know that a significant percentage of these students struggle from day to day to know where their next meal will come from?
This is UNACCEPTABLE and LifeSpring Church is committed to partnering with our community to end childhood hunger in our communities.
In a partnership with Smithfield-Selma area schools, businesses, and community organizations we will package 20,000 meals on December 15th, 2018 to be distributed to children at each school that are in need just before their Christmas break.
Become a difference maker
Join with us in the fight against childhood hunger in our community. There are 2 significant ways that you can participate:
1. Serve – Visit SSStrongFeeds.org to sign up to volunteer. You can sign up as an individual, family, or a team from your workplace or community group.
2. Give – Each meal costs $1. Would you invest into your community by sponsoring 1 week of meals ($7), 1 month of meals (30 meals) or 1 year of meals ($365)? Visit SSStrongFeeds.org to give.
