What would your life look like if you lived out of the overflow of your relationship with God, your quiet time?
Psalms 1:1-3 (NLT): Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
Planted in the WORLD- the wicked, the sinners, the mockers: unfulfilled life
Planted in the WORD- living our purpose, healthy, favor; fulfilled life
Galatians 5:16 (NLT): So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.
Galatians 5:22-24 (NLT): But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.
Romans 12:2-3 (MSG): Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
WORLD = UNDERTOW
Is a strong current of water that is moving below the surface current and in a different direction.
WORD = OVERFLOW
To fill a space to capacity and spread beyond its limit. : To flow over bounds.
Psalm 23:1-3;6 (NLT): The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name… My cup overflows with blessings.
