Encounter Students
Encounter Students exist to give every Johnston County 6th-12th grader opportunities to encounter Jesus.
We believe middle and high school students can begin to experience life that is too-good-to-miss starting now- and we believe that happens when students connect to Jesus and to others who inspire them to become the difference makers they were made to be.
What to Expect
“Hang time” starts when our doors open at 6:00pm on Sunday night. During this time, students can chill, shoot basketball, play MarioKart, or enjoy a snack from our Snack Shack.
At 6:30pm, our large group time begins, where we’ll both have fun and hear a life-giving teaching from one of our communicators.
At 7:00pm, we spend time together in small groups, where students build relationships with each other and adult leaders who equip them to navigate what they are facing each week.
7:30pm-8:00pm is flex time. Students can leave or be picked up, have an extended small group time, or take advantage of the opportunities to chill and have fun until the doors close at 8:00pm.
