Pastor Dillon talks about how you can make an eternal impact in your community by making 3 intentional decisions…
Message Notes
John 15:16 (ESV)- “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide…”
Jesus saved me to make a difference through me that lasts for eternity.
Eternal impact requires alignment.
John 15:7 (ESV)- “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
Alignment only happens intentionally.
Intentional Decision #1- A daily time with Jesus in His Word.
Psalm 1:1-3 (ESV)- “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season…”
Intentional Decision #2- Planned percentage generosity to the local church.
Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV)- “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matthew 6:33 (ESV)- “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Intentional Decision #3- Intentional pursuit of people far from God but close to you.
Luke 15:4-7 (ESV)- “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
